2019

Foundation Registered

Sangati Foundation registered as a charitable trust on 14 February 2019.
  • Established by Mr Sudhir Dhir on Valentine’s Day to spread dignity and empowerment.
  • Defined core tagline: "For People-with-Disability."
  • Laid down four fundamental pillars: Accessibility, Mobility, Inclusivity, and Visibility.
2020

Accessible Toilets & Mental Health Care

Launched first public accessible toilet in Gurgaon and laptop repair courses.
  • 3 December 2020 (International Day of Persons with Disabilities): Opened first accessible public toilet in Sector 29, Gurgaon.
  • Launched Laptop Repair training course for youth with disability.
  • Mental health and emotional wellness programme with Emosync: interactive webinars, workshops, and 1-on-1 counselling.
2021

COVID Relief, Project Pehchaan & Star Awards

Cooked meals for 500+ daily, rural medical kit distribution, UDID camps, and Job Portal.
  • COVID Response: Provided 500+ cooked meals daily in Delhi & Gurgaon jhuggi bastis for over two months.
  • Distributed rural medical kits containing thermometers, masks, sanitiser, sanitary napkins, soap, paracetamol, vitamin C, zinc (with Hindi instructions), oximeters, PPE, and face shields.
  • Launched Sangati Job Portal on Independence Day (15 August 2021).
  • Project Pehchaan camp on 7 November registered 41 people for UDID cards — critical for accessing government welfare benefits.
  • Sangati Star Awards announced on World Disability Day with up to ₹50,000 grants in four categories: Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Mentorship & Scholarship, Designs for Daily Living, and Sports & Arts.
  • Associated with the Tokyo Paralympics celebrations.
2022

Jodhpur Center & Rural Health Drive

Skill center opened in Jodhpur, Bathri camp reached 500+, and autism book published.
  • Opened Skill Development Centre in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, offering certified laptop repair and DTP courses.
  • Bathri rural medical camp reached 500+ villagers in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Participated in World Disability Day at Divyakala Mela with NHFDC, showcasing handcrafted products.
  • Published pioneering book on autism spectrum awareness.
2023

National Half-Marathon & World Book Fair

170 assessed for skill training; 25 runners at Delhi Half-Marathon; stall at World Book Fair.
  • 170 candidates assessed for Project Udaan tech training courses.
  • Vedanta Delhi Half-Marathon: 25-member Sangati contingent ran in Champions with Disability segment.
  • Hosted stall (Hall 2, Stall 305) at New Delhi World Book Fair featuring inclusive literature.
2024

Railway Hub Accessibility & Sangati Yatra Flag-Off

Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station made accessible; 140 cancer screenings; Yatra launched.
  • Completed accessibility overhaul at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in collaboration with Yatra and Anuprayaas.
  • March 2024 Cancer Screening Camp tested 140 people (80% women) with mammography, Pap smear, X-ray, ENT.
  • Launched Sangati Chess Club in July 2024 in partnership with Gems Modern Academy Dubai students.
  • Free Health Camp in New Delhi on 10 August 2024.
  • Flagged off the historic 6,500 km Sangati Yatra on 14 December 2024 from Modern School, New Delhi by Padma Shri Dr Deepa Malik.
2025

Triumphant Yatra Completion

Sangati Yatra team concluded the 6,500 km ride in New Delhi on 3 January 2025.
  • The team of five drivers with disability completed the longest cross-country ride ever driven by Divyang leaders.
  • Crossed Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu to reach Dhanushkodi before returning to Delhi.
  • Setting the roadmap for 2025: 100 highway accessible toilets, expanding rural OPD, and tech job placements.
